September Book Sorta-Review – UnEnchanted by Chanda Hahn

My reviews are called “sorta-reviews” because they’re short & sweet. I’m reading 8 books this month and decided to post about them here in addition to on Goodreads.

Just finished: UnEnchanted by Chanda Hahn

It’s book one in the Unfortunate Fairytale series, a YA fantasy. This book is currently free and had over 3,700 reviews on Amazon so I had to check it out. I absolutely loved it. It’s an adorable story of a girl who finds out she’s a descendant of the Brothers Grimm and has to relive modern versions of their fairy tales in order to break the curse. It’s very well written and it’s one of those books you can picture as a movie as you read it. I loved her best friend Nan and I couldn’t believe I had fallen for Brody (the super rich, super hot guy she has a massive crush on) by the end of the book. I can only hope book 2 will solve the problem at the end of book 1…. one can hope!

Up next: Sand Omnibus by Hugh Howey – I’m listening to this one on audio book with whisper sync so I can read and then listen during my commute.
