Cheyanne Young is a native Texan with a fear of cold weather and a coffee addiction that probably needs an intervention. She loves books, sarcasm, and collecting nail polish. After nearly a decade of working in engineering, Cheyanne now writes books for young adults and is the author of the City of Legends Trilogy and The Breakup Support Group. She doesn’t miss a cubicle one bit.
Cheyanne lives near the beach with her daughter and husband, one spoiled rotten puppy, and a cat that is most likely plotting to take over the world.
Cheyanne is represented by Kim Lionetti of BookEnds Literary.
I write about superheroes and teen romance. I can’t help it, I like them both.
When I’m working on a manuscript, I write 5000 words a day, often ignoring everything else in the world.
I was born on Thanksgiving day. This may or may not be why I love pumpkin pie. And eating.
I credit my love of reading to The Babysitter’s Club and Fear Street books, both series that got me hooked on reading in fourth grade.
Hello Kitty is life.
I might have a slight nail polish addiction. The more glitter it has, the better.
I can say the alphabet backwards. Feel free to ask me to recite it in person. I love showing off this mostly pointless talent.
I love the beach but fear the ocean.Seriously, deep water freaks me out.
I’ve seen every episode of The Office and Parks and Recreation so many times that I can quote just about the whole thing. If you’re the same way, we’ll be instant best friends.
I have an anxiety disorder. The longer I’m in this business, the more I realize it affects many other authors as well. Maybe it’s a flaw in our creative brains.
My dog is my favorite human being on earth, despite her not being a human being.
I’ve been a writer since I first learned how to write. It wasn’t until my twenties that I started thinking maybe other people would want to read the stuff I created. And now you’re here, reading this. Awesome!
