Cheyanne Young is a native Texan with a fear of cold weather and a coffee addiction that probably needs an intervention. She loves books, sarcasm, and collecting nail polish. After nearly a decade of working in engineering, Cheyanne now writes books for young adults.
Cheyanne lives near the beach with her family, a spoiled rotten police K9, a spoiled rotten civilian mutt, and a cat who is most likely plotting to take over the world. (Probably because she is spoiled rotten.) Cheyanne’s newest book, The Last Wish of Sasha Cade, is available now.
Cheyanne is represented by Kim Lionetti of BookEnds Literary.
Yes, I wrote a superhero series. I love it so much, even though it’s totally the opposite of what I normally write, which is contemporary, swoony, heartfelt high school fiction.
When I’m working on a manuscript, I write 5000 words a day, often ignoring everything else in the world. It takes me about one month to draft a new manuscript and another month to edit it.
I was born on Thanksgiving day. This may or may not be why I love pumpkin pie.
I credit my love of reading to The Babysitter’s Club and Fear Street books, both series that got me hooked on reading in fourth grade.
Hello Kitty is life.
I might have a nail polish addiction. The more glitter it has, the better.
I can say the alphabet backwards. Feel free to ask me to recite it in person. I love showing off this mostly pointless talent.
I’ve seen every episode of The Office, Bob’s Burgers, and Letterkenny so many times that I can quote just about the whole thing. If you’re the same way, we’ll be instant best friends.
My dogs are my favorite humans on earth, despite them not being actual humans. (Why yes, I’d be happy to post a photo. Why didn’t you ask sooner?)
You want a picture of the cat too? Okay, fine, have it your way.
